A life sim where the rent is too damn high, on purpose.
Toronto Life is a free, browser-based, Sims-style multiplayer game set in the 6ix. Create a Torontonian, rent a home, ride the TTC between real venues, work shifts, manage six needs, vote for a mayor, and survive whatever the city throws at you — alongside everyone else online right now.
How it works
1. Roll the birth lottery
Rosedale baby with $50k and a job your dad arranged? Condo kid from Mississauga? Or you just landed at Pearson with two suitcases and a cousin in Brampton. The city decides. It's not fair. Welcome to Toronto.
2. Find a place (good luck)
10 homes, from a free couch in Brampton to a King West penthouse. Rent is due every week. Fall behind and you'll hear from the landlord.
3. Keep six needs alive
Hunger, energy, hygiene, bladder, fun, social. They drain in real time, even while you sleep. Timbits help. A nap helps. A Raptors game helps a lot.
4. Work shifts, build skills
49 jobs across the city: pour double-doubles, bounce at REBEL, deal blackjack at Woodbine, or grind your way to Bay Street. Shifts pay out after real minutes.
5. Get around
Travel between 381 real Toronto spots on the map. TTC is $3.35 (unless the mayor makes it free). Walk to save cash. Uber when it's -20. Drive once you've bought the RAV4.
6. Vote for a mayor every week
Candidates run on a policy: free TTC, rent freeze, a minimum-wage bump, or austerity if they're feeling bold. The winner's policy changes the economy for everyone for a week.
7. Survive the city
Line 1 shutdowns, snowstorms, heat waves, Leafs eliminations, Gardiner closures, Caribana. Events hit everyone at once and change what's worth doing.
8. Meet actual people
Every venue has a live chat. Make friends, slide into DMs, date, propose, get married at St. James Cathedral. Or just argue about Scarborough.
16 cities, one province
Toronto is home. Everything else is a GO train, a VIA ride, a drive up the 400, a Porter flight or a private jet away. Leave from Union Station, Pearson, Billy Bishop or any city hub.

Actually free
No pay-to-win, no loot boxes, no energy timers you can buy your way out of. Game dollars are not real dollars (sadly).
18+ only
There's live chat with strangers, a casino, and an LCBO. You must be 18 or older to play. Be kind; we ban fast.
Made in Toronto
Built by people who have waited for the 501 in February. Venue names are used with love; this is a parody game, not affiliated with any of them.
